Response Paperlar hakkında
önümüzdeki seneye not:
1) iki makale üzerine response'da sanki 3 paragraf limiti iyi.
P1: birinci makaleyi özetle siyah renk fontla... bir kaç cümle... ardınan mavi font ile birinci makaleye dair özgün bir şeyler yaz (sende ne çağrıştırıyor, üzerine ne söylemek istiyorsun, neyle ilişkilendirmek istiyorsun
P2: ikinci makale için aynısı...
P3: iki makaleyi bir arada düşünüp, benzerlik, zıtlık... ortak bir şey bulup onun üzerine özgün bir kaç laf etme (mavi renk gene)
2) önemli kavramlar, kelimeler, kelime grupları bold olmalı
3) başlık matters...

Q & A:
1. which language shall I use in my response papers?
both Turkish or English are acceptable.
2. is there a word limit?
yes. your papers shall be between 500 to 800 words.
3. are there other format requirements
yes.
a) article no and the title of the article shall be put at the top in bold fonts.
b) all the text should be justified (iki yana yaslanmalı)
c) there should be a one line space between the paragraphs
4. what is the file format for upload?
pdf. google form won't let any other format other than pdf to be uploaded
5. how can I convert my file to pdf?
there are online sites that converts docs to pdf (google it). or you can directly convert a word document to pdf by using microsoft word or google documents.
6. is there a format for file name?
yes. your file names should be in the following format: ArticleNumber_NameSurname
example: 01_AhmetYılmaz or 03_BüşraÖztürk
7. when shall we upload our response papers?
you should upload your papers until class time of the relevant week. (in other words, response paper 01 should be uploaded until 15:00 October 14 and response paper 02 should be uploaded until 15:00 October 28).
8. what will be the weight of these response papers?
the weight of the response papers will be 20 points.
9. what happens if we don't upload the response papers?
you will not get points from that assignment. so the maksimum points you can get from this class will be 80.
10. can we upload our files after the deadline?
the papers uploaded after 24 hours from deadline will not be accepted. the late responses (the papers uploaded within 24 hours) will be accepted but they will lose marks for late submission.

Ders Hakkında...
- dersi alan her öğrenci dersin blogunu takip etmekle yükümlü.
- ders seminer formatında işlenecek. her hafta 3 öğrenci sorumlu oldukları makaleleri sınıfa sunacaklar ve bu sunuşlar sonrasında (çoğu zaman sırasında) sunulan konu etrafında sınıf içi tartışma yapacağız. sınıftaki tüm öğrencilerin derse gelmeden önce o hafta tartışılacak makaleleri okumuş olmaları beklenmekte.
- dersin notlanmasında kullanılacak kalemler ve ağırlıkları şunlar:
- sunuş (20)
- response paper (20)
- vize sınavı (20)
- final sınavı (40)
- sunuş notları dönem sonunda ilan edilecek.
- mid-term ve final sınavlarının bir bölümünü kelime soruları (ingilizce-türkçe karşılıklar) oluşturacak.
- ilgili haftada kendisine atanan makaleden sorumlu olan öğrenciler, o derse katılmadıkları ya da katılıp sunuş yapmadıkları takdirde dönem içi notlarından (final haric yuzde 60’lik kisim) 20 puana kadar düşülebilir.
- sunuş yapacağınız haftalar ilan edildikten sonra bir hafta içinde tarihlere itiraz edebilirsiniz. bir hafta geçtikten sonra yapacağınız itirazlar değerlendirmeye alınmayabilir. programınızda bir değişiklik olursa sunuş yapacağınız haftayı, kendi aranızda anlaşarak, başka bir arkadaşınızla değiştirebilir ve bana bu değişikliği bildirebilirsiniz.
- sunuş yapacak öğrenciler, sunuşlarını derse kadar blogda linki verilen (sağ tarafta) sunuş yükleme formuna yüklemekle yükümlüler. sunuşunuzu pdf olarak yükleyin. (google pdf dışında bir format kabul etmiyor). dosya adı formatı şu şekilde: makalenosu_İsimSoyadı örnek 03_AyşeYılmaz ya da 11_BuğraAkar
- sunuşun değerlendirmesinde göz önüne alınacak kriterler şöyle sıralanabiliar:
- keyifle takip edilebilir olması,
- hikayeleştirilmiş bir anlatım olması,
- makaledeki ana fikrin doğru ve anlaşılır bir şekilde aktarılması,
- makaledeki bilgilerle yetinilmeyip kişisel yorum ve gözlemlerle desteklenmesi,
- derste tartışma açmayı teşvik etmesi...
- response paperların nasıl yazılacağı ile ilgili bilgi ayrı bir post'ta verilecek.
- devam durumunuzu blogun sağında yer alan devam linki üzerinden takip edebilirsiniz. 3 ders devam etmeme hakkınız var. 4 ders devam etmeyen öğrenciler devamsızlıktan kalır. Sınavlarda karşılaşacağınız sorular ağırlıklı olarak ders içi tartışmalardan geleceği için devam konusuna özen göstermenizi öneririm.
